" Running for Life is an an excellent charity. It deals with important issues close to my own heart. I have a 3 and a half-year-old son who will shortly be entering education for the first time. The thought of other children of the same age missing out on the opportunity of a basic education, spurs me on to raise money for Running for Life. I hope the money i raise doing the skydive will help to go a small way to making a big difference."
Sarah, Manchester, England

"I first heard about Running for Life through Teba as we went to the same university. It is a great organisation and I was more than happy to get involved with the charity and the hard work it does. The children of Senegal deserve a brighter future and hopefully we can all do our bit."
Simon, Durham, England

Challenge 1000

Challenge 1000 is a brand-new initiative launched by Running for Life to raise £100K.

Challenge 1000 is a series of 100 individual challenges ranging from Sky-Diving to running a marathon. Some of the challenges are a little less extreme. You could walk or run a mile for RFL. Why not set your own challenge?

Check back to this page to see details in the coming weeks on how to create your own online fundraising page for your Challenge 1000 event!

Event Ideas

You could organise a table-top sale with your friends or a sponsored carwash in your community.

How about organising a sleep over or non-uniform day at your school or place of work?

You could even ask everyone you know to sponsor you $1, £1 or a euro each to do something spectacular.

Where will the funds go?

The money will go towards building and equipping a library and multi-media centre for children living in Oussouye, a community within the Casamance region of Senegal, West Africa.
